First blog post on a new web site

I created a new web site last week and have been trying to figure out how to make it post my blog. The title kind of gives you the idea about what it will be about. It will contain my thoughts and opinions, with some humor. Some folks may call me witty, but most just roll their eyes at my cryptic comments.

Bottomline, I am not happy with social media and don’t like a lot of of their effects on our kids and others. I am impressed with how strong and influential the sites are in reality, but not happy with how mean and vicious they they can be to ordinary folks and their thoughts.

I have been off social media for a while but have this new idea. I will post my thoughts on my own personal site, and then link the social sites to my site. I am thinking I can screen/protect my privacy better. What is more important I want to protect my grandkids privacy better, but still want to brag about them.

In case you have not heard, my grandkids are above average in all categories.

Wish me luck, because today I go live with this test blog post.

Be gentle with your comments, because I am learning. I do want to get feedback and get better. I am just not interested in the hate and vitriol I see on-line from facebook and others. No matter which side of the debate you are on, it ok to have someone disagree with you. I am asking you to just need to use logic and reason, and tone down the drama.
